Isabel is a reporter at the Forsyth County News. A recent graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, Isabel received her B.A. in international studies. She is passionate about journalism, specifically broadcast, although she has more experience with print and online.
During college, she was co-editor of Emory's chapter of an intercollegiate online magazine, Change-Magazine. In high school, she was editor of her school's monthly newspaper, Le Temps Retrouvé, and she also taught a writing class twice a week to sixth and seventh graders.
Isabel also worked at Emory's Goizueta Business School during her junior and senior years at Emory. While she mainly covered events, she also did photo shoots for emorybusiness.com and the alumni magazine. Before coming to Forsyth County News, she freelanced at CNN's The Row in Atlanta.
In her free time, one can find Isabel with friends, running -- both indoors and out -- or working. She has a passion for photography and often carries her camera with her, documenting her travels and day-to-day experiences. A number of years back, she started her own photography business, shooting Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, baby showers, bridal showers and other events. She enjoys these photography projects, and has also dabbled in silkscreen and ceramics.
Isabel loves travel. She graduated high school speaking fluent French and has been to France twice, although she has traveled in Europe beyond France some, too. She studied Hebrew and French in college as well.
Isabel is also a member of Gamma Phi Beta's Zeta Tau chapter at Emory University.
